Our Grace Kids ministry strives to partner with parents in helping their children begin a lifelong discipleship journey. Through Sunday morning ministry, a Scripture Memory program tied to the Sunday school lessons, American Heritage Girls and Trail Life for Boys, and special events, we encourage our kids to. . .
• Connect to God through a personal relationship with Him
• Grow in their understanding of God
• Serve the church community
• Go and tell others about Jesus through friendship and service

What’s provided for children during the 10:45 Worship Service?
Children are Welcome
Your children are welcome to stay in the service with you. A member of our Welcome Team can provide your children with activity pages.
Care for your infant – 4-year-old is provided in our preschool area. Currently Kids Church is available for your Kindergarten-2nd grader.
Infants through four-year-olds – Our caregivers provide a loving, nurturing environment for our infants and toddlers. Older toddlers are provided with developmentally appropriate Bible learning time, crafts and structured activities, snack, and play time.
Kindergarten – 2nd grade children worship with their parents during the first part of the service. Mid-service, those children who would like to participate are dismissed to the Great Room for Kids Church. Guests are welcome to accompany their children to Kids Church. One of our Kids Church volunteers will be happy to answer your questions. Parents of first-time attenders must create a profile for themselves and their child at the Check-In kiosk if they wish to attend Kids Church.
Security and Safety
Your child’s security and safety is very important to us. All of our kids volunteers have had thorough background checks and training. During service, access to our preschool and Kids Church areas are monitored by a trained volunteer.
Check-In
A Welcome Team member will assist you in checking in your child to preschool care or Kids Church. Our computerized check-in system is very simple and helps to make our kids area safe and secure. You will receive 2 badges – one for your child and one for you to keep during the service. At the end of service, to ensure the security of each child in our care, we will collect your badge and match it to your child’s badge. We will not release a child unless picked up by a parent or guardian with a matching badge.
For the safety of your child, we will need to collect some information. Pre-registering will expedite your secure check-in experience but is not required. To pre-register your child, complete the information form linked here.
Don’t worry. If we need to contact you during the service, we will text the emergency contact number on your child’s badge. Please be sure to keep your phone on vibrate or where you can see it during the service. If we are not able to contact you through your phone, our Preschool Monitor will come find you.
Sick Child Policy
It is our desire to provide a healthy and safe environment for all the children at Grace Community Baptist Church. Parents are encouraged to be considerate of other children when deciding whether to place a child under our care. In general, children with the following symptoms should NOT be dropped off:
- Fever, diarrhea, or vomiting within the last 48 hours;
- Green or yellow runny nose;
- Eye or skin infections; and/or
- Other symptoms of communicable or infectious disease.
Children who are observed by our workers to be ill will be separated from other children and the parent or guardian will be contacted to request that the child be removed from the class, activity, or program for the day. Any toys or equipment used by that child will be disinfected and worker hands washed thoroughly.
