An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day Second of the month, repeating until August 11, 2025
We are excited to offer 2 stand-alone book discussion evenings this summer. To participate, simply procure a copy of the book(s) and read. Join us on the dates below for a cozy discussion time with other Grace ladies. As an added bonus, a copy of both of these books is located in our Resource Center and should qualify for the Summer Reading Challenge. Both of these are also available as audiobooks for free on Hoopla.
June 30, 7 pm – Suffering is Never for Nothing by Elisabeth Elliot. This final book from Elisabeth Elliot, transcribed from a set of talks, was published posthumously and packs much wisdom in its 106 pages. If you are unfamiliar with the works of Elisabeth Elliot, this book is a great introduction. If you have read her other books, this read is a nice reminder of her encouraging messages! The material promises a rich discussion time. To help us plan, please sign up here.
Aug 11, 7pm – The Pastor’s Wife by Sabina Wurmbrand. “The Pastor’s Wife” is Sabina Wurmbrand’s true story of her efforts to get her husband released, her subsequent imprisonment for her public faith witness for over two years in labor camps and, above all, her unceasing efforts to help build a Christian underground church in the shadow of Communist repression.
Many of you may recognize Richard and Sabina as founders of “Voice of the Martyrs”
A challenging read that will surely lead to meaningful discussion! To help us plan, please sign up here.
